Visiting this website
When you open a page, the hosting provider automatically records technical access data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser used. This data is processed only to deliver the website and to keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for these purposes.
The website is hosted on Microsoft Azure Static Web Apps, operated by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, Dublin, Ireland, under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. Where Microsoft processes data outside the EU, this is covered by the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
The connection to this website is encrypted (TLS).
No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. Fonts, images and all other files are delivered from our own hosting; no content is loaded from third parties. The animation in the header runs entirely in your browser and sends no data.
Contacting us
If you write to us by e-mail, we process your message and contact details to answer your enquiry and, where applicable, to prepare or carry out an engagement (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and in our legitimate interest in answering enquiries (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Our e-mail is hosted by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited (Microsoft 365) under a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
We keep your data as long as necessary for this purpose and as required by statutory and professional retention duties (in particular § 50 PAO, § 147 AO, § 257 HGB). Everything you entrust to us is subject to our professional duty of confidentiality as patent attorneys (§ 39a PAO, § 203 StGB).
Links to other websites
Our pages contain links, for example to LinkedIn profiles and to phronergon.ai. No data is transmitted to these providers until you click a link; after that, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
Recipients
We pass on personal data only to service providers who process it on our behalf and under our instructions (Art. 28 GDPR), such as our hosting provider, or where we are legally obliged to, for example to authorities.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). To exercise your rights, write to the address above.
Right to object: where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany (Art. 77 GDPR).
